Edible Art Decorative Paint by Sweet Sticks is a range of revolutionary paints made in Australia.

With a unique blend of 100% edible ingredients they can paint, dry and be rub free on almost any edible surface.

Our edible paint can be applied using many different techniques including brushes for detailed work. We recommend using a quality sable brush or sponge. Sponge work also looks great on buttercream, fondant and royal icing.

The paint is ready to use from the bottle, so there is no need to thin it out or mix it with any other ingredients. Once applied, it dries in no time and the pigment is sealed within the surface - no dust or smudges!

If you require a water colour effect you can achieve this by adding cake decorators alcohol (high grade 95% alcohol) to your palette.

Shake well before and during use.
Keep away from children and store in a dry cool place.
Do not consume in liquid form.
Bottle is 15ml.

GETTING STARTED:
1. Shake well, when starting and during.
2. Try different paint brushes. Some streak, some don’t.
3. Take the time and play with your paints. Become familiar with them.
4. Mix and match your own colours if you like.
5. Add cake decorators (95% grade) alcohol to your pallet for a watercolour finish.
6. Wash used brushes with hot, boiling, soapy water, some paper towel and baby wipes.

I find this product doesn't work great on it's own, I actually have to mix it with a little lustre dust of the same colour then it works amazingly.

Scoop reply: if it is not painting on solidly straight from the bottle it is because it is not mixed up enough. When the product sits on the shelf all the lustre sets to the bottom which needs to be mixed in really well again. We recommend using the back end of a paint brush and stirring it in the container then put the lid back on and give it a good shake!

After reading the other comment I was worried but I bought it anyway and it was excellent! Definitely stir and then shake before using. The color was perfect for the gold coins I painted. Love the convenience of pre mixed color!

I received this in the mail two days ago, and used it today to paint on crusted buttercream. At first I was confused because even after shaking it excessively, and stirring it in a bowl, it went on super streaky and wasn’t very gold. It wasn’t until it ran out super quick that I noticed that the bottom half of the bottom was completely hardened!!! Super unimpressed and wouldn’t buy again.

The metalic settles to the bottom as the product sits on the shelf, you need to stir it in the bottle (back end of a paint brush) and then shake it very well to mix it back together. once you do that then it will paint on solidly!
