Give your fancy cakes an elegant base. Cake boards add a professional aspect to your cake presentation. They add stability to make the transport and placement of your cakes easier.
Made for cakes of a single layer or multiple tiers. Thin boards are best used for single tier cakes or for placement between layers in a multi-tier cakes. Drum boards are most often used for larger, multi tiered cakes.
We carry thin cake boards in both round and square shapes starting at 4 " and up. Thicker 1/2" drum cake boards come in rounds and square shapes starting at 6" and up. Both boards and drums come in either white or silver.
We also carry extra thin cake boards that are gold on one side and silver on the other. These boards are great for lighter cakes (smash cakes) or presenting single desserts and can also be used for support and stability between the layers of multi-tier cakes.
How big a cake board do you need? The general rule of thumb is 2 to 3 inches bigger than your cake. This depends on how much decoration will be at the bottom of the cake - if you plan to have large flowers or other large decorations you should choose an even larger cake board.
